Home grown in Colorado Springs, this creative creature does line art doing both drawing and painting. We're so impressed with her because she is also a full time college student, with a small business running an etsy page.
We sent her a disposable camera, this gorgeous Khiember dress, and followed up with an interview. Get to know this gal below.
home town or where do you call home?
was born in Colorado Springs!
how you would describe your style of art and how did you gravitate there?
I would describe my style as surrealist line art with common themes of femininity, spirituality, consciousness. I’ve always been into psychedelic art, but surrealism allowed me to explore some deeper concepts that I really resonate with. It helps me express the way I envision the world.
what is on your bedside table?
what is your favorite medium and why?
I love gouache! It can be thinned out to look like watercolor but there is an opaqueness that allows for layering and makes a really cool finished look. Painting is very difficult and a rather new skill for me so I love the challenge.
who or what is your inspiration?
I’m inspired by nature, women, and the overall human experience.
best advice you have ever received?
Nothing matters as much as you think it does so just have fun and learn a lot :)
favorite band / album?
morning or night time?
a quote you live by?
What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract, what you imagine, you create.
first thing you do when you wake up?
Usually wake up 1 minute before my classes start and hop on Zoom
go to dinner recipe?
’m horrible at cooking but I make really good avocado toast pretty much daily
let’s pretend we are all safe from covid, how would you spend your first night?:
Going to an Odesza concert with all my friends!
something you are excited about for 2021:
I’m excited to graduate from college!
